| BkV:10.IV.2 | Joy comes from being who you really are. There is no relationship between what appears to be the outer world and the happiness of the soul. Accordingly, the world cannot be the cause of the joy of the soul, just as it cannot be the cause of anything in your being. Your being only feels comfortable being fully itself, as God created it to be. Every time you feel sadness it is because you somehow remembered or experienced non-being. Not being is the misfortune of the soul. |
